a rumor outbreak of cholera disease in Nassarawa state that Mr Abashiya Koto, Chairman of Akwanga Local Government has rejected
as a report that was given to the News Agency of Nigeria on sunday that the rumours of the outbreak of the diseas is false in a statement given by Konto
"No body lost his or her life as a result of cholera outbreak in Akwanga as alleged in some quarters, there is no cause for anybody to panic.
"Let me tell you, it is not true there is cholera outbreak in this area but it is true that three persons lost their lives last Sunday due to diarrhea and vomiting.
Konto said that when he got to Gudi Primary Health Care Clinic in this local government when he heard the news that about three patients died and he also went there with memebers of World Health Organisation (WHO)
so the expert took a test and it was diarhia and vomitin not cholera as was said earlier
Koto however urged the people to improve on their personal hygiene and environmental sanitation to guard against diseases.
Konto also said that they should stop dumping of refuse in in a market place, drainages for the safety of their health to avoid disease
